Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Sirajganj Unit in collaboration with Grameenphone distributed food packages (7.5 kg rice, 1 kg pulses, 1 kg sugar, 1 liter oil, semolina 0.5 kg, salt 1 kg) among about one thousand of flood affected people in Kamarkhand Upazila of Sirajganj.
Following this, Hon'ble Member of Parliament for Sirajganj-2 (Sadar-Kamarkhand) Parliamentary Constituency and Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Dr. Habibe Millat was present as the chief guest at the distribution of food packages to the flood affected families of Bhadraghat Union at Bhadraghat Shamsun Mohsin High School premises on Friday (September 11).
Also present among others were Sirajganj Municipal AL President Helal Uddin, Kamarkhand Police Officer in Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam, Kamarkhand Upazila AL General Secretary Anwar Sheikh, Bhadraghat Union AL President Malek Khan, General Secretary T. M. Mostafa Joy etc.
Habibe Millat, vice-chairman of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, said an initiative has been taken to provide a one-week worth of food to about 140,000 flood-affected families across Bangladesh. In continuation of this, I am trying my best to bring food package distribution activities to almost all the flood affected families in Sirajganj.
