Three people were killed and at least 10 others were injured when a bus turned over after trying to avoid an oncoming motorcycle on the Dhaka-Bogura highway today. The incident took place at Talukdar Bazar in Kamarkhanda upazila of Sirajganj around 1:00pm, our Pabna correspondent reports quoting Syed Shahid Alam, officer-in-charge of Padma Bridge West Police Station.
Identities of the deceased could not be known yet. "A Bogura-bound bus of Shah Fateh Ali Paribahan turned over and fell into a ditch after it hit an oncoming motorbike. The driver lost control of the bus in an attempt to avoid the bike," the OC said.
Two passengers of the bus and one motorbike rider died on the spot while about 10 to 12 people were injured. They have been taken to Sirajganj General Hospital.
